The Average Home Heating Oil Prices dataset provides New York residents and businesses with objective information on average residential retail heating fuel oil pricing in New York State and by region beginning September 8, 1997. Pricing data is obtained via surveys conducted by NYSERDA staff on a weekly basis during heating season (September to March) and bi-weekly during the rest of the year. All prices are listed in dollars per gallon.

The Average Home Heating Oil Prices dataset, Average Residential Retail Kerosene Prices dataset, and Average Residential Retail Propane Prices dataset are collectively referred to as the Heating Fuel Prices dataset.

The Waterbody Inventory/Priority Waterbodies List (WI/PWL) dataset is an inventory of the state's surface water quality. This dataset provides a summary of general water quality conditions, tracks the degree to which a waterbody supports its designated uses, and monitors progress toward the identification and resolution of water quality problems, pollutants, and sources.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), in collaboration with the New York State Department of Public Service (DPS), conducted a statewide residential baseline study (study) from 2011 to 2014 of the single-family and multifamily residential housing segments, including new construction, and a broad range of energy uses and efficiency measures. This dataset includes data from 47 completed Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) contractor surveys. The survey sample was stratified by the size of the HVAC contractor company: 28 survey completes for small companies (defined as having 1-10 employees) and 19 survey completes for large companies (defined as larger than 10 employees.) The surveys focused on employer or company information, sales of energy efficient HVAC equipment, installation practices, training, and experience with NYS energy efficiency programs.

The Utility Energy Registry (UER) is a database platform that provides streamlined public access to aggregated community-scale energy data. The UER is intended to promote and facilitate community-based energy planning and energy use awareness and engagement. On April 19, 2018, the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) issued the Order Adopting the Utility Energy Registry under regulatory CASE 17-M-0315. The order requires utilities and CCA administrators under its regulation to develop and report community energy use data to the UER.

This dataset includes electricity and natural gas usage data reported at the ZIP Code level. Other UER datasets include energy use data reported at the city, town, village, and county level.

Data in the UER can be used for several important purposes such as planning community energy programs, developing community greenhouse gas emissions inventories, and relating how certain energy projects and policies may affect a particular community. It is important to note that the data are subject to privacy screening and fields that fail the privacy screen are withheld.

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) issues permits to facilities to rear or sell selected fish species. This dataset is a list of New York facilities with permits to rear or sell selected fish species is compiled annually and updated periodically by DEC, and is distributed for information only. It is compiled to help people find possible sources of certified disease-free fish for stocking. Fish purchasers are reminded that DEC stocking permits are required before fish are placed into any New York State waters. Purchasers should also receive a copy of a fish health certificate indicating the fish they are buying for stocking purposes are from facilities that have been inspected and found free of the fish pathogens identified in DEC's regulations NYCRR, Title 6, Part 188.1 and 188.2. The data is segmented to cover both common space equipment and, to the degree possible, tenant-unit equipment, such as refrigerators or clothes washers that are included in the rental by the building ownership.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), in collaboration with the New York State Department of Public Service (DPS), conducted a statewide residential baseline study (study) from 2011 to 2014 of the single-family and multifamily residential housing segments, including new construction, and a broad range of energy uses and efficiency measures. This dataset includes 2,982 single-family and 379 multifamily occupant survey completes for a total of 3,361 responses. The survey involved 2,285 Web, 1,041 telephone, and 35 mini-inspection surveys. The survey collected information on the following building characteristics: building shell, kitchen appliances, heating and cooling equipment, water heating equipment, clothes washing and drying equipment, lighting, pool and spa equipment, small household appliances, miscellaneous energy consuming equipment, as well as behaviors and characteristics of respondents.

Tonnage of recycled commodities at OGS facilities broken down by recyclable commodity. Mixed office paper and single stream recycling are office waste commodities, which are generated within an office setting. The Ferrous/ Non-ferrous metals, yard waste and concrete, etc. are operational commodities, which are generated in maintenance and building operations.

The Low- to Moderate-Income (LMI) New York State (NYS) Census Population Analysis dataset is resultant from the LMI market database designed by APPRISE as part of the NYSERDA LMI Market Characterization Study (https://www.nyserda.ny.gov/lmi-tool). All data are derived from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS) 1-year Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) files for 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Each row in the LMI dataset is an individual record for a household that responded to the survey and each column is a variable of interest for analyzing the low- to moderate-income population.

The LMI NYS Census Population Analysis dataset is intended for users who want to explore the underlying data that supports the LMI Analysis Tool. This underlying LMI dataset is intended for users with experience working with survey data files and producing weighted survey estimates using statistical software packages (such as SAS, SPSS, or Stata).

This dataset contains information about trees that have been planted in New York City by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey from 2008 to 2012. Trees are planted by the Port Authority or contactors on Port Authority Property. Tree data includes the tree species, size, location and quantity.

The Clean Energy Fund (CEF) Agriculture Audit program identifies energy efficiency measures for eligible farms and on-farm producers, including but not limited to: dairies, orchards, greenhouses, vegetables, vineyards, grain dryers, and poultry/egg. NYSERDA assigns Flexible Technical Assistance (FlexTech) Program Consultants to perform energy audits for eligible farms. Participating farms receive a customized plan with recommended energy efficiency upgrades. Energy storage is critical to New York’s clean energy future. As renewable power sources like wind and solar provide a larger portion of New York’s electricity, storage will allow clean energy to be available when and where it is most needed. The 2019 Climate Act set a statewide goal of 3,000 MW of Energy Storage by 2030, further increased to 6,000 MW of Energy Storage by 2030 by Governor Kathy Hochul.

This dataset tracks progress towards these statewide goals by compiling data on installed energy storage projects. Projects that received funding support from NYSERDA, as well as unincentivized projects, are included in this dataset
