This dataset is a list of all individuals and corporate entities that hold a valid Food Fish and Crustacea Dealers and Shippers (FF&C) license for the current calendar year, their general locations, and their dealer status. The FF&C license is issued by the Department and allows the license holder (or employees of the license holder) to:
• purchase and resell, trade or barter marine fish or crustaceans as food or bait;
• operate a facility for packing, holding or storing marine fish or crustaceans prior to consignment, transport or sale;
• ship, transport or traffic in marine fish or crustaceans for resale, trade or barter to persons other than the final consumer within the state;
• export food fish or crustacea landed in New York to outside the state.
The FF&C license can be issued to a business (corporate entity) or to an individual and can be issued to both residents of New York State and non-residents. The license expires on December 31st of the year it is issued, and license holders must apply annually in order to be issued the license. This list includes name (either corporate or an individual person), city, county, state, county FIPS code if in New York, and dealer status.
